The leading smartphone brand in India, Samsung, has slashed the price of its older flagship devices, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+(64GB), by up to ₹4,000 in time for the festive season. The 128GB variant of the Galaxy S8+ has also received a price cut of ₹1,000.
Additionally, industry sources suggest that Samsung has partnered with HDFC bank and will be offering an additional ₹4,000 cash back on the devices for HDFC card holders. Samsung is heavily banking on the festive season to boost the sales of its devices in the country and with the recent launch of the Galaxy Note 8, the older flagships have received a price cut to incentivize their purchase.
